Events coming up in Dawlish
Saturday, Sunday, Monday: Street parties
Devon County Council has announced which roads in the county will be closed for street parties for the coronation.
The streets which will be closed in Dawlish for coronation parties can be seen here.
Saturday events
Events on Saturday 6 May, the day of the King's coronation, include a large screen showing the event from 11am on the Lawn.
There will also be crown clay-modelling at 3pm, a children's disco from 5pm to 6pm and a screening of Matilda the Musical at 6pm.
Sunday events
On Sunday 7 May, there will be a coronation big lunch from 11am to 5pm on the Lawn with music.
The winners of the art, poetry and bake-off competitions will also be announced on the day.
A talk on coronation memorabilia and life in Dawlish at coronations through the ages will be held by David Force from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
From 7.30pm, Friends of Dawlish Library will be having a quiz evening.
Monday events
On Monday 8 May, there will be street market with over 50 stalls on the Strand.
There will also be a refreshers' fayre for people to find out more about volunteering in the town.
Punch and Judy shows will also be on offer.
At 7pm, there will be a grand finale sing-a-long in the marquee on the Lawn.
