Byron Woods is standing for election as an independent to represent the Dawlish South West ward at Dawlish Town Council.

He is currently a councillor at town level.

----------

My name is Byron Woods, I have been a councillor for the last four years and I would like to represent Dawlish for the next four years as an independent councillor.

I believe the council should do more to connect with its community, to be more transparent, a proactive approach is needed to truly represent people and allow local voices to shape the local area.

You may not see me in the papers or shouting about what I have done for the community, I have a clear conscience and know I've made a difference in supporting and helping people not only by working in the ambulance service and fire service but in day-to-day life and what I have achieved in my last four years on the town council.

Giving me this chance again to be elected as a Dawlish town councillor, I promise to stand up for what is right for the people and listen while making inclusive positive change to Dawlish.
