----------

I moved to the UK and settled in the South Hams with my parents as a child, and enjoyed watersports, studying climate geography, and the sciences. I did a catering management HND and worked in hospitality in Exeter before swapping my license as a publican for publishing.

After creating magazines for kids, then editing a UK festivals scene website, I settled in Dawlish and took over the publication of Reconnect - the free South Devon wide community magazine closely aligned to my interests featuring nature, transition, sustainability, arts, rewilding, energy, community and wellbeing. My wife and I have been in the county team representing Devon & Cornwall in the sport of archery for over a decade.

With my passionate interest in environmental activism, and with serious concerns about the environmental emergency and wildlife I became a volunteer wildlife warden with Action on Climate in Teignbridge (ACT). I was co-opted to the Dawlish Town Council climate declaration working group in February 2021.

I am one of founders of the annual Turn the Tide Eco Festival held on Dawlish Lawn, most recently coordinator of ACT's Carbon Cutters project which aims to help communities across Teignbridge find sustainable ways to reduce their carbon footprint. I have also been working on plans for getting Dawlish Town Council to net zero. My continuing aim is to protect wildlife, reduce pollution, and assist in our region's transition to a resilient cleaner, healthier future.
