A new accessible footbridge with lifts at Dawlish railway station is continuing to take shape.
All of the pre-cast concrete units are now in place, and steel pillars that will hold the toughened glass parapets on the deck are currently being installed.
The bridge is expected to be open to the public by the end of the year.
Several other improvements are also underway around the railway station, including removing the existing stairs from the car park ahead of installing new ones.
A Network Rail spokesperson said: "We're still hard at work in and around Dawlish station,
"We've been installing the steel pillars that will hold the toughened glass parapets on the deck of the new accessible footbridge.
"The final unit of the platform wall has been installed on the seaward side, now that we have finished pumping concrete through the under-track crossing.
"We're in the final stages of cladding the wall and laying the remaining granite squares on the section of promenade close to the bridge.
"We've been breaking out the existing stairs from the car park ahead of installing new ones so please use the ramp in the meantime.
"Thank you to everyone for your continued patience."
What is the progress of other projects at the railway?
Dawlish's new £80m sea wall is now complete and open to the public.
Work on a rockfall shelter north of Parson's Tunnel between Dawlish and Holcombe began in late 2021 and is due to be complete this autumn.
Netting and fencing work on the cliffs between Dawlish and Holcombe to protect the railway from falling debris has begun.
