Dawlish weather: Gloomy weekend but potential sun next week

We're now into July, but where has the summer gone?

After rather a gloomy week of overcast skies and patches of rain, this weekend is again not looking very hopeful.

Saturday morning will start off with heavy rain, easing off by around 11am. It's not all doom and gloom, though, as the temperature will pick up to 17 degrees in the afternoon and evening with sunny intervals expected and low wind speeds - a good time for a walk on the beach?

Sunday will start off dry, but quickly turn into heavy showers after lunch. The wind will pick up, with 24mph gusts.

Monday is looking even worse - we could see a small amount of thunder and lightning, and heavy showers all day.

However, further into next week on Wednesday and Thursday we could start to see some drier spells, with temperatures up to 20 degrees.
