Linda Marsh is standing for election as an independent to represent the Dawlish North East ward at Dawlish Town Council.
----------
My name is Linda Marsh. I moved to Dawlish nine years ago and completely fell in love with the little town.
I have worked as a precision engineer for 15 years, then I had a complete change of career and have worked in the hospitality sector for many years.
At the moment I work in a very much-loved shoe shop in the centre of Dawlish.
The town is growing and there is a lovely community spirit.
I would like to support the parish of Dawlish in any way I can, so the residents of Dawlish get the best facilities they can to help make Dawlish a destination town.
If I am elected I will be a committed councillor and I will work very hard for the parish of Dawlish.
I will do my best to support local businesses and support residents with any issues that they have.
I am proud of our little town and I want to make sure that the residents of Dawlish are proud of where they live.
I want to help to make Dawlish a town that holidaymakers will love to come to.
I am going as an independent as I don't want party politics to spoil our little town, I don't want anyone to tell me what I should think and how I should vote on issues relating to Dawlish.
I promise I will do what is in the town's best interest at all times.
