The outgoing Mayor of Dawlish presented three local causes with fundraising cheques last week.

Cllr Lisa Mayne was able to raise the money during her year as mayor at various events, and has thanked all those who helped her fundraise.

The recipients of the cheques were community charity Assist Teignbridge; Dawlish Community Transport, which offers accessible and affordable transport services; and Dawlish Celebrates Carnival, which organises regular town-wide events.

The local causes received £1,954.57, £1,784.07 and £1,954.57 respectively.

Cllr Rosie Dawson was also elected as the new Mayor of Dawlish on the same day (Wednesday 17 May).
