A few tickets are still available for a charity pig racing night this weekend in aid of the outgoing Dawlish mayor Val Mawhood's chosen charities and groups.

It will be the last event organised by the mayor to raise funds for local youth organisations, which include Scouts, Guides, and the Dawlish Warren Lifesaving Club among others.

The event will take place at St Mary's Hall in Dawlish Warren from 7.30pm on Saturday 30 April. St Mary's Hall is located five minutes away on foot from the railway station just off the far end of Dawlish Warren car park.

Cllr Mawhood has asked that people wanting to attend let her know 'as soon as possible' how many tickets they need due to high demand.

Tickets cost £10 each and include 'supper', and a table of six people costs £50. They can be purchased from the Manor House on Old Town Street and from Presents of Dawlish on the Strand, or by calling 01626 864406.
