The car park at Dawlish railway station will be closed to vehicles tomorrow (Tuesday 9 August) and Wednesday 10 August, Network Rail has said.

The closure will allow the power supply to be installed for the new accessible footbridge at the station.

A spokesperson for Network Rail said: "Dawlish station car park will be closed to vehicles on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 August as we are due to install the power supply for the lifts for the station's new accessible footbridge.

"Thank you for your continued patience and understanding; we're sorry for any inconvenience."

When complete, the footbridge will feature lifts and an uncovered walkway.

It will be built in addition to the existing covered footbridge with stairs at the station.
