A Dawlish-based musician has described having her new single featured on BBC radio last week as a 'dream come true'.
Ellie Finnerty, 22, who is now a full-time musician, had her single 'Screen' played on the BBC Music Introducing in the South West show hosted by Daniel Pascoe on Saturday 30 July.
Ellie said: "I was absolutely buzzing... it has been a music goal of mine for a while, so to have it happen is a dream come true.
"I have been singing professionally on and off for three years, working other jobs in between, but now I am lucky enough to play music full-time and I don't ever want to look back!"
The single was produced by Dawlish music producer Gaz Music Solutions.
Ellie first started sharing her original music online in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, and released her debut single 'Six Pound Forty' in 2021.
She has worked abroad singing, at home in Devon playing solo acoustic gigs, and as a resident musician on Brittany Ferries. She is currently singing and playing guitar on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean.
She also has an album for sale, containing nine original songs including 'Screen' and 'Six Pound Forty', and other tracks not yet released.
You will be able to get a physical CD alongside a download code to listen on your phone for £5. To buy a copy, get in touch with her on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
