Dawlish cadet wins new test aircraft naming competition

A Dawlish RAF Air Cadet has won a competition to name a new aeroplane model.
Ollie Hill, 16, was picked at random from the 15 cadets who suggested the name 'Phoenix' for UK-based aircraft developer AERALIS' first test aircraft.
Over 800 names were submitted in total. Ollie will receive a range of prizes including a tour around the AERALIS facility.
AERALIS founder and CEO Tristan Crawford said: "Phoenix is a superb name for our first test aircraft, and we look forward to welcoming the winner to our facility in Bristol."
Commandant Air Cadets Air Commodore Tony Keeling said: "My thanks to AERALIS for providing such an imaginative way to engage the next generation, and to our air cadets for their collective brilliance."
