Dawlish: Consultation on Teignbridge Local Plan launched
Teignbridge District Council has launched a public consultation for residents to give their views on its draft Local Plan.
The Local Plan will determine how many homes need to be built and where in Teignbridge until 2040, amongst other concerns. It is reviewed every five years by law.
No sites in either Dawlish or Teignmouth have been allocated for future housing development, but a site near Dawlish has been earmarked for a new business park.
This consultation is the "fifth and final opportunity" to comment on the Local Plan proposals before its submission for examination by the government's Planning Inspectorate.
Copies of the Local Plan documentation are available in libraries, town and parish council offices, Forde House and online.
You can give your views until 12pm on Monday 13 March either online, by email [email protected], or by post to Local Plan Review, Spatial Planning and Delivery, Forde House, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX.
Anyone who submits a written objection will have a legal right to appear before and be heard by the inspector at the Local Plan Examination Hearing.
