New Dawlish link road coming soon as part of 860 new house build

A planned new link road in Dawlish as part of a scheme to build 860 homes is edging nearer.

Devon County Council's cabinet has agreed to progress a planning application for the road, between Elm Grove Road and the A379 Exeter Road.

Dawlish's Shaftesbury Theatre reopens with programme of films, plays and music

Dawlish's Shaftesbury Theatre will reopen on Saturday, July 24 after 16 months of closure caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The first event there, on that evening, will be a screening of Military Wives, the hit movie based on the true story of the much-loved choir. This will be performed to a socially distanced audience.

Teignbridge councillors are pressing for a reversal of the Government's order to resume real-life, in-person meetings, so that they can meet via Zoom again.
