Dawlish and Teignbridge residents can now see the number of Covid cases in their area on an interactive government map.
These are the numbers for the seven days up to 3 February:
Devon & Cornwall Police is currently recruiting Special Constables.
Special Constables are volunteers who help the police in their spare time, and after training have the same powers and similar duties as regular police officers.

Officers from the British Transport Police were called to Dawlish station just after 7pm yesterday (Thursday 3 February) after reports of a fight on a train.
A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly, but was later released and police took no further action.

At last a version of Sue Gray's report has been published but frankly it takes us no further forward. 300 photos and 500 pages of evidence are missing! Proper transparency and integrity is required, and the full report must be published, as soon as the Metropolitan Police inquiries have concluded.
While the 'update' is very thin on conclusions, it makes two critical findings on judgement and leadership. The lack of these qualities is pretty damning for any Prime Minister and his team. Good governance must include transparency and integrity.

Dawlish Town Council was unanimous in its support of road safety measures on the A379 Exeter Road and the junction with Elm Grove Road near Dawlish College at its most recent meeting.
Since Devon County Council manages the roads, the town council will now facilitate a meeting with them and stakeholders to highlight the issue.

Dawlish Town Council wants to make a wood carving from the stump of a recently felled horse chestnut tree on the Lawn - and wants your suggestions for what it should be.
It was recently felled by the district council's tree surgeons due to it being in very poor condition and 'almost dead'.
