Where should new benches be put in the parish? Dawlish Town Council wants your views

Dawlish Town Council is asking people where they would like to have new benches in the local area.

The benches can installed anywhere in Dawlish Parish - that includes Dawlish Warren, Holcombe, Cofton, Cockwood, and land north-west of Dawlish (but some places may need landowner's permission).

A new 2022 dataset published on the UK Parliament website means Dawlish residents can now see how fast their internet is.

It shows average download speeds, as well as superfast and gigabit availability, and the percentage of homes that have especially slow broadband.

More than 250 new homes on the edge of Teignmouth could get final approval next week when councillors vote again on the plans.

Outline permission has already been agreed for the land at Higher Exeter Road, but the upcoming planning meeting will be the second time the detailed 'reserve matters' application for the appearance, landscaping, layout and scale of the properties is considered.

Dawlish: Council Tax reduction scheme offering up to 100% off to continue next year

Teignbridge's council tax support scheme, in which those in greatest hardship pay nothing, is set to continue next year.

The district council is one of only 20 per cent of local authorities in the country to offer eligible residents a full discount on their bill, and the only one in Devon.

Dawlish: New 1m fixed lead rules for dog walkers to come into force in Teignbridge

Dogs being walked next to highways in Teignbridge must soon be on leads no more than a metre long.

The change, which comes into force from April as part of the new public space protection order (PSPO) for dogs, has been agreed by councillors and will see the maximum length halved from the current two metres.
