On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to briefly speak during the second reading debate for the Health and Care Bill currently making its way through Parliament.
I welcome the bill and its aims and objectives to provide the best possible health and care to everyone in this country.

This may seem like a slightly odd title however all will become clear! I am quite often contacted by dog owners who are struggling to keep their young dog's attention on them when they are out and about.
Basically this boils down to a recall issue – does your dog want to come back to be with you or is everything else in the park, on the beach, in the woods more interesting?

Keith Prescott, 64, who had been reported missing from the Teignmouth area yesterday (Monday 19 July) has now been found safe.
Police would like to thank members of the public for their help.

A new project to combat loneliness in the town is set to be launched in September.
The OWL (Outstanding With Loneliness) Project is being introduced by Dawlish Town Council's Mental Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Working Group in response to the growing issue of loneliness in the community.

The South Western Ambulance Service just had its busiest week ever - after the record was broken already earlier this month.
It responded to as many as 23,088 incidents last week (up to Sunday 18 July), equivalent to one incident every 26 seconds.

Covid cases have increased in every part of Devon, with the number of people in hospital tripling in the past week.
According to government data for the week to Wednesday 14 July, the rates in Plymouth and Torbay climbed significantly above the national average.
A 64-year-old man named Keith Prescott has been reported missing from the Teignmouth area, and was last seen in the town at around 8am yesterday (Monday 19 July).
The Met Office issued an 'extreme heat' warning at 4.05pm today (19 July) as temperatures topped 30 degrees in many areas.
The warning covers the entire South West, as well as the West Midlands and South Wales, and is in place until 11.59pm on Thursday 22 July.

Care home providers in Devon have said that some Covid-19 restrictions will remain in place in care homes after Monday 19 July.
Today saw most legal restrictions lifted in England, including the wearing of face masks, social distancing, and the limit on the number of visitors to care homes.
