A suspected 'bomb' found on Dawlish beach this afternoon (22 July) turned out to be an old buoy buried in the sand.

Devon & Cornwall Police, HM Coastguard, and a bomb disposal unit from the Royal Navy were called to the scene after a member of the public discovered what they thought to be a WW2 bomb.
