The Red Rock Youth Centre, located next to Dawlish United Football Club on Sandy Lane, is still looking for new volunteers, staff, and trustees to help it get back up and running.

Registered charity Dawlish Action for Youth (DAY) works in partnership with SPACE and contributes towards the costs of using the youth centre.

Speaking about the shop, Lesley, manager of Crafters of Dawlish CIC, said: "We are a local shop selling various craft supplies, and we also have displays of our local crafters' work, which are beautiful and unique.

"We're a Community Interest Company (CIC), which is run solely by an amazing team of volunteers.

The minor injuries unit in Dawlish Community Hospital has been closed since March 2020, but it looks as if it may reopen soon, with a spokeperson saying that they were 'hopeful' it would reopen in October this year.

The reasons given for its closure were staff shortages and the Covid-19 pandemic.
