Minute's silence in Dawlish

Dawlish Town Council has invited people to take part in the National Moment of Reflection on Sunday 18 September.

It will be marked by a minute's silence at 8pm at the bandstand on the Lawn with the Mayor of Dawlish.

A spokesperson said: "If you have a mobile phone, we will be inviting you to use it as a torch light as a symbol as part of the moment of reflection when asked to put it on by the mayor.

"Please do not bring lit candles onto the Lawn. For those unable to be at the bandstand on the evening you may like to observe the silence on your doorstep or in your home to be part of the National Moment of Reflection."
