Nomadland Screening at Dawlish Library

Dawlish Library will be screening the film 'Nomadland' next month. It will start at 7pm on Wednesday 9 March, and tickets will cost £3 each or £2 each for concessions. The film is about 'the economic collapse of a town in rural Nevada' and a woman who begins living as a nomad. Find out more details here.

Fairtrade Fortnight Afternoon Tea

A talk and quiz by Sue Errington about Fairtrade coffee, the Twongerekawa Co-op, a women's Fairtrade organic coffee co-operative in Rwanda and the challenge of climate change. It will take place at the Strand Community Centre on Wednesday 2 March from 3pm to 5pm, and is free of charge - but donations are welcome. To book, you can call 01626 889038 or Paul on 07572 127965. Two - by Jim Cartwright at Shaftesbury Theatre

This play was first performed in 1989 in Bolton, and explores working class characters in 1980s northern Britain. The performance will also be accompanied by the premiere of local playwright Dave Davies' new work 'A Better Day Tomorrow',

a heart-warming tale of parental love.
