Three schools have closed their doors today (Friday 18 February) in Dawlish due to Storm Eunice, according to Devon County Council.

It comes after the Met Office issued an amber warning for the local area, and warned of 'extremely strong winds'.

The storm is currently at its peak, gusting at 64mph in Dawlish at the time of writing.

Two of Dawlish's primary schools have closed, as well as its one secondary school. The schools that have closed are as follows:

1. Dawlish College
2. Gatehouse Primary Academy
3. Westcliff Primary Academy
