Local business Teign Bean has said that it hopes to open a new coffee outlet at Dawlish Warren "before Christmas" this year.

It has not yet given a precise opening date, but added it will publicise it widely when it does.

Owners Simon and Becca Grost said: "The opportunity to take over this site was presented to us and we thought it was an opportunity too good to pass by.

"It fits in nicely with our other sites and fits the bill in terms of customer base - cyclists, dog walkers, ramblers.

"Dawlish Warren is missing a really good barista coffee provider and we are well established locally and people know that they can get a consistently great coffee at whichever of our sites they visit."

Teign Bean also has outlets at Mamhead, Starcross, and Teignmouth. Its new Dawlish Warren site will be located on Beach Road near the landward car park.
