This Saturday, the Shaftesbury Theatre, Dawlish, will fling open its doors to the public once more and welcome them to ALL areas of the building with their second open day!

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes to make all your favourite productions happen? Now you can find out! From 10am-2pm on Saturday 27th November, there will be a series of workshops, technical demonstrations, backstage tours and you can also find out more about how YOU can get involved.

Enjoy a backstage tour of the theatre, view the extensive costumes, props and sets collected over the years as well as explore the sound and lighting departments and try your hand at the technical wizardry of a modern rig, bringing some magic to the stage to life! There's also a chance to see our Youth Theatre Group as they rehearse their latest production and meet some of the cast of our pantomime Jack and The Beanstalk.

We are also proud to announce our first Christmas Movie Day! On Saturday 11th, we will be showing The Polar Express (10:30am), Miracle on 34th Street (2:30pm) and Elf (7:30pm).

Tickets are also selling fast for this year's GIANT of a pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, which will play at the theatre from Friday 7th to Saturday 15th January 2022 so pop in and grab your tickets this weekend!
