The play park at the Den in Teignmouth is reopening today (Friday 22 July) from 1pm after a six-week refurbishment.

New equipment includes a six-metre high ocean multi-play structure, a basket swing, 'a range of sensory and inclusive equipment', swings, and more.

Teignbridge Executive Member for Leisure Councillor John Nutley (Lib Dem, Ashburton & Buckfastleigh) said: "We're really pleased to be opening this newly refurbished play park in time for the start of the school summer holidays.

"We've incorporated lots of new equipment and facilities, and many of the features are accessible for children with sensory, physical or learning disabilities.

"We hope this fantastic facility for Teignmouth will be enjoyed over the summer by local families and visitors to the town."

The council has said it is still waiting for the delivery of two more features but will get them open as soon as possible after installation and testing.
