Rail strikes by the RMT union are set to impact trains going via Dawlish on Thursday 20, Saturday 22 and Saturday 29 July.

Trains will not operate between Exmouth and Paignton on Thursday and Saturday this week and there will be no replacement buses. There will be a "reduced service" on Friday 21 July, however, with services starting later.

It is not yet clear how the railway line will be affected next Saturday.

There could also be disruption due to industrial action short of a strike (ie. last-minute changes and cancellations) by the Aslef union from Monday 17 to Saturday 22 July.

If you had tickets for travel on strike days you can claim a full refund. Tickets for Thursday 20 July and Saturday 22 July can be used the day before or up to and including Tuesday 25 July. Tickets for Saturday 29 July can be used the day before or up to and including Tuesday 1 August.

Strikes have been taking place on the railways since June last year.
