Rail strikes and engineering work to impact trains through Dawlish

Rail strikes and engineering work are set to affect trains through Dawlish.

The RMT union has announced 24-hour strikes on Thursday 16 and Saturday 18 March.

Engineering work will also take place on the railway between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbot on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March.

Replacement bus services will be provided during the engineering work and will reportedly not be impacted by the strike on Saturday.

If you have a tickets for travel on strike days you can claim a full refund or amend your ticket. If you travel and are delayed, you may be entitled to Delay Repay compensation.

Rail strikes have so far taken place in JuneJulyAugustOctoberNovember, and December last year, and in January this year.
