Poppy wreaths head from Dawlish to Paddington war memorial
Poppy wreaths have been taken on a train from Dawlish to be laid at the war memorial at Paddington railway station in London.
Mayor of Dawlish Cllr Lisa Mayne and Chairman of the Dawlish branch of the Royal British Legion Richard Hayward brought the wreaths to Dawlish station to be put on the train on Friday morning (11 November).
A GWR spokesperson said: "Poppy wreaths from across the GWR network have been making their way to London Paddington this morning to be laid at the war memorial on this Remembrance Day.
"We will remember them."
The Great Western Railway War Memorial, located on platform one at Paddington station, commemorates the 2,500 GWR employees killed in the First World War.
