There is currently no sign of the minor injuries unit at Dawlish Community Hospital reopening despite assurances to the contrary last year.

The Dawlish MIU was closed in March 2020 due to "staffing challenges... exacerbated by the demands of the pandemic".

In July 2022, the NHS trust responsible for it said it had recruited further staff and aimed to have it up and running within 12 months after they were trained.

Dawlish Nub News contacted Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust for comment but it did not respond by the time of publication.
