A new deli, Le Cygnerie, opened today (Monday 16 May) in Dawlish.

Owned by Mark and Souhela Berry, who also run the adjacent café Le Cygne which opened in July 2018, the deli will be open from 9am to 5pm seven days a week.

It stocks a wide variety of products, including cheeses, wines, and pastries. Takeaway hot drinks and snacks are also on offer.

Souhela said: "It feels incredible. It took us a little while to open it, but we did it in the end.

"I'm very happy, I feel like I've done better than I expected it to be. Hopefully its success will bring more people to the town.

"We're trying to sell products that are a little bit different, to attract tourists, and the locals. I think they're looking forward to it, the locals who come and get bits and pieces."

To the rear of the deli is a gift section, with postcards, eco-friendly bamboo items, and more.

You can find Le Cygnerie at 12 The Strand, Dawlish next to the Le Cygne, which is located here on Google Maps.
