Local group refreshes Dawlish sign flowerbed on Exeter Road

Members of Dawlish Garden Society have spruced up the area in front of the Dawlish sign on Exeter Road with a refreshed flowerbed.
The sign, which reads 'Dawlish: Home of the Black Swan', is located on Exeter Road near Dawlish Countryside Park.
Dawlish Garden Society members Steve and Karen Templeman, Roger Kohl, and June Cassidy cleared up and replanted the flowerbed beneath the sign.
The work was able to take place thanks to a grant from Teignbridge District Council organised by Dawlish councillor Gary Taylor. Pet and garden supply shop Park Road Pets also helped by delivering the compost and plants required.
A spokesperson said: "We hope that residents and visitors alike will enjoy the splash of colour as they drive into the town."
Dawlish Garden Society will also be holding its annual spring plant sale outside the Strand Community Centre on 14 May from 9am to 2pm. Click here to find out more.
