Drivers arrested after positive drug wipes in Dawlish and Teignmouth
Two drivers were arrested after testing positive on drug wipes in Dawlish and Teignmouth last week.
In Dawlish, police stopped a car for failing to indicate and driving too fast.
The driver of the vehicle, who admitted recent cannabis use and tested positive on a drug wipe, was arrested on Sunday (22 January).
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Car stopped for failing to indicate and excess speed in Dawlish. Driver admitted recent cannabis use and tested positive on a drug wipe.
"One of two arrested in Dawlish for drug-driving today [22 January]."
In a separate incident in Teignmouth, an Audi was stopped by police.
The driver was arrested after officers found that they had no licence, tested positive on a drug wipe, and were in possession of cannabis.
The vehicle, which had no MOT, was seized.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "[An] Audi was stopped in Teignmouth where the driver had no licence, tested positive on a drug wipe, was in possession of cannabis and the vehicle had no MOT.
"One in custody and vehicle seized."
