Police were called at 3.35pm yesterday, Thursday 30 December, after it was reported that a vehicle was involved in a collision with a deer on Telegraph Hill on the Torquay-bound carriageway of the A380.

The male driver was reportedly not injured. The condition of the deer is unknown.

Police went to the scene and carried out a search, but found nothing.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 3.35pm yesterday [30 December] following a report of a collision between a vehicle and a deer on the A380 at Telegraph Hill [Torquay-bound carriageway].

"The male driver was reportedly uninjured but the condition of the animal was not known.

"Police attended and carried out an area search but the incident was not located [presumably cleared before police arrival]."
