Dawlish tea room to hold charity Christmas fair for Hospiscare
A Dawlish tea room will hold a charity Christmas shopping fair next month to raise money for Hospiscare.
The fundraiser for the end-of-life-care charity comes after owner Carley Holmes' mother Annie, the namesake of Annie's Tea Room, passed away in a hospice.
The Saturday 12 November event will last from 11am to 3pm at the Brunswick Place establishment.
It will feature takeaway food, drinks and cakes, a variety of stalls, a book-signing with a local children's author, a raffle, and more.
All food and drink profits made on the day will go to Hospiscare.
Owner Carley Holmes said: "My mum Annie spent the last eight weeks of her life in a hospice in a family room where we could all spend these last few weeks with her. They were incredible.
"Annie was a local business owner in Dawlish before she died. She was poorly from 44 until she passed at 53.
"We have raised in excess of £10k since she died. We hope the local community will enjoy our event at the local tea room."
You can find it at 15 Brunswick Place in Dawlish, and here on Google Maps.
