Great Western Railway's Devon and Cornwall railcard is now available to download to your phone.

The regional offer means you can save a third of the price on all standard class anytime or off-peak tickets for journeys wholly within Devon and Cornwall not starting before 08.45am.

Costing £12 per year, it is available for local residents aged 16 and over.

It also gives you a third off standard class train tickets for an accompanying adult, and allows you to take up to four children for a flat fare of £1 each.

Devon County Council Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Environment & Transport Cllr Andrea Davis (Conservative, Combe Martin Rural), said: "To be able to travel at such low cost across Devon and Cornwall, accessing our beautiful towns, cities and coastal areas while enjoying the wonderful landscapes as we sit back and relax is something we want to share more widely with our residents.

"Now it's available digitally, it makes it so much more convenient.

"Even better is two people can travel on one card, so take a friend along."

You can buy the railcard from ticket offices and online.
