Anne Marie Morris is not planning to comment further on the latest 'Partygate' findings in the Sue Gray report, a spokesperson has confirmed - but she is standing by her letter of no confidence in PM Boris Johnson.

The Newton Abbot MP, whose constituency includes Dawlish, submitted the letter 'before Christmas' last year to Sir Graham Brady, the chair of the 1922 committee.

In a statement released in January, she described the social events held in 10 Downing Street in breach of lockdown rules as 'frankly insulting to those who did what they were told.'

She had initially had the whip removed before submitting her letter, meaning it would not be counted (54 are currently required to trigger a no-confidence vote), but has since had the whip reinstated.

Senior civil servant Sue Gray's report was published in full last week. It contains an investigation into 16 events, together with photos of several gatherings.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson was issued a £50 fixed penalty notice by police in April for breaking Covid laws in June 2020. In total, 126 fines to 83 people were issued.
