Dawlish: Newly hatched cygnets in the brook, in pictures

UPDATE 2 September: Dawlish: One of the four newly-hatched cygnets dies
Four black swan cygnets have now hatched and are enjoying swimming in the brook.
The first hatched on the evening of Friday 20 August just after the end of Dawlish Carnival, and three more followed suit the day after. The fifth egg in the nest did not hatch, however.
The above photos were captured by Rosie Spooner just days afterwards on Tuesday 24 August, one of which shows a cygnet resting on its parent's back after being tired out by the weir!
Devon-based photographer Rosie Spooner's products, which include greetings cards, postcards, fridge magnets, jigsaws, and calendars featuring pictures of Dawlish Cove and the black swans and cygnets can be found here on her website and also in Ten Green Bottles in Dawlish (selling Dawlish products), at Fork Handles in Teignmouth, and Sandstones in Shaldon (selling both Dawlish and Teignmouth products).
