A fundraising event held for the Mayor of Dawlish's chosen charities has raised over £600.

The occasion on Sunday 20 August saw over 60 people hosted at the Manor House with live music from local shanty singers The Back Beach Boyz and scones donated by Gay's Creamery and prizes from dessert parlour The Local Scoop.

In total, £680.95 was raised for Devon Air Ambulance, whom Mayor Rosie Dawson chose to support in memory of Albina Yevko, Dawlish Museum in memory of Jenny Gibson and Dawlish Library.

The next mayoral fundraiser will take place in October.
