Dawlish fire engine responds to fire in Teignmouth

One fire engine from Dawlish together with two engines from Teignmouth and an aerial ladder platform from Torquay were sent out today to a report of a retail fire at Higher Coombe Drive, Teignmouth at around 3.40pm today (21 June).

On arrival, the fire crews found the ground floor filled with smoke.

Using breathing apparatus, they found the fire in the storage area on the ground floor and extinguished it.

It was believed to have been accidental.
