Dawlish dessert parlour The Local Scoop has won two more Taste of the West awards for its handmade ice cream.

It comes after it won five awards (three gold, two silver) last year.

The Local Scoop was this year given a gold award for its Cinnamon Bun flavour and a silver award for its Peach Melba flavour.

A spokesperson for the dessert parlour said: "We are really pleased to have had two of our favourite flavours awarded gold and silver this year.

"We have such wonderful feedback on every flavour, it's tricky to decide which flavours to put forward.

"We like to choose the flavours a little more on the unusual side that have had real 'wow' reactions from our customers!"

You can find the shop here on Google Maps next to Harrisons Amusements. You can also find its ice cream for sale on Teignmouth seafront.
