Dawlish: Car overturns in Starcross crash

The A379 through Starcross was blocked this morning (Tuesday 13 September) after a crash in which a car overturned.

Police were called at around 9am, and upon arrival found that a car had been involved in a crash with three parked vehicles.

The fire service rescued a woman who had become trapped after her car overturned, and she was treated for minor injuries.

The road reopened at around 12.10pm.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on The Strand, Starcross, at around 9am today, Tuesday 13 September.

"Officers attended and found that a car had been in collision with three parked vehicles.

"A woman was reported to be trapped in her car, which had overturned. Ambulance and fire also attended.

"The woman was extracted from the vehicle and was treated for minor injuries.

"The road was reopened at around 12.10pm."
