Police have given The Cove Cafe at Coryton Cove in Dawlish an alarm after it was broken into twice in two weeks last month.

The first incident is believed to have occurred overnight on 13-14 April, and the second on 27-28 April.

The local cops gave them a PIR alarm, which uses infra-red technology to detect intruders.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "We went to speak to The Cove Cafe who have unfortunately had two break-ins within the last couple of weeks.

"We gave them a PIR alarm and shed alarm sign, even chucked in a few batteries for good measure.

"Please stay vigilant if you are passing and call 999 if you see any suspicious behaviour."
