A pair of black swans has nested and laid eggs on the small island in Dawlish Water at Tuck's Plot.

At least two eggs have been spotted and up to eight are expected from the waterfowl couple, named Bert and Kimba, who are sharing sitting on the nest.

Black swan cygnets also hatched in February this year after eggs were laid in the same spot.
