Delays to refuse collections in Teignbridge this week mean that waste crews will be working over the weekend to catch up, the district council has said.

It has advised residents to leave their bins out for collection - but has warned that some may not be collected until Monday.

A spokesperson for Teignbridge District Council said: "There have been delays on some of our waste and recycling rounds this week.

"Crews are working over the weekend to catch up, however some bins may not be collected until Monday.

"If you are awaiting a collection, please leave your bins out. We are sorry for any inconvenience."
