Dawlish Water Rotary Club Pig Racing Night
St Mary's Hall, Dawlish Warren
Community Events
UNTIL Friday 11th November
You may have heard about Rotary's famous Pig Racing nights! The Club is holding another one, as you'll see from the attached poster, at 7.30 pm on Friday, 11 November.
The aim of the evening is to combine all the fun of the races with raising some money for Rotary charities.
A 'wholesome' supper is included in the ticket price: either bring your own drinks or some will be available to buy there.
A good crowd came to the last one - the evening runs pretty much like a normal horse racing meeting but the horses are replaced by some very frisky pigs! There is a tote for those who would like a flutter or two. If people place bets it's usually no more than £1 a race, so shouldn't break the bank. If you want to up the stakes, it's also possible to 'buy' a pig!!
St Mary's Hall is a couple of minutes' walk from the bus stop at the bottom of the hill in Dawlish Warren. There is also a large free car park.
Order your tickets soon - see the poster details - to avoid disappointment.
