Devon and Cornwall Police has said that 'testing kits' will be made available in bars across the region to combat the spiking of drinks.
It comes amid concerns about drink-spiking and attacks with needles following an incident on Saturday 16 October in which a woman was assaulted with a needle in the Fever & Boutique nightclub in Exeter.

A Devon health chief says he's "concerned" about the uptake of Covid booster jabs, with less than half of people eligible having received it so far.
Dr Paul Johnson, clinical chair of NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group, revealed that of the 163,000 people in Devon now due their booster, having had their second jab six months or more ago, only 42 per cent have come forward for it.

Opened by husband and wife team Mark and Souhela in July 2018, the café is named 'Le Cygne', French for 'The Swan', after the town's resident black swans.

The boss of Stagecoach South West hopes a potential new pay deal with unions will improve its service and attract more drivers, after months of disrupted services.
Chief Executive Mike Watson offered his "deepest apologies for any anxiety and uncertainty that was caused," after a strike by members of the RMT union on Monday 18 October was called off with just hours to go.

The Met Office has issued a further yellow weather warning for rain today, lasting until the early hours of tomorrow morning.
The warning covers the majority of southern England, and is in force from 4pm to 3am tomorrow (Thursday 21 October).
