A musician from Dawlish who has been away backpacking in Australia and New Zealand has returned and is set to play a gig in her hometown.

Ellie Finnerty, 23, whose music has been featured on the BBC Music Introducing in the South West show, will be performing at The Railway Inn on Beach Street on Friday 3 March.

She said: "I am so excited to be back in my hometown doing the thing I love most.

"I invite you to come and join me at The Railway Inn Dawlish at 8pm on Friday 3 March for a reunion!

"Lots of good acoustic tunes, good booze and fun times. Please spread the word with your mates, let's have a party! See you there."

Ellie first started sharing her original music online in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, and released her debut single 'Six Pound Forty' in 2021, followed by another single 'Screen' in 2022.

She has worked abroad singing, at home in Devon playing solo acoustic gigs, and as a resident musician on Brittany Ferries. She spent the summer of 2022 singing and playing guitar on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean.
