Starcross-Exmouth ferry back up and running for the summer

The ferry service that operates between Starcross and Exmouth is now back up and running for the 2022 summer season as of today (Wednesday 25 May).

It will offer trips across the River Exe seven days a week until 29 October.

It leaves at 10 minutes past the hour from Starcross, and 40 minutes past from Exmouth from 10am to 5pm (see below for exact timings).

How much does it cost?

For the 2022 season, the prices are as follows:

Adults £5 (£7 return)

Children £4 (£5 return)

Dogs on leads £1 (£1 return)

Bikes £1 (One-way tickets available only)

E-bikes £2

Tandem bikes £2

Tag-ons £1

Trailers (two wheels) £2

Both cash and card are accepted, but cash is recommended.

When does it operate?

Times vary due to tides, but the ferry usually departs from Starcross at:

10:10am, 11:10am, 12:10pm, 1:10pm, 2:10pm, 3:10pm, 4:10pm (and 5:10pm until 15 September)

It also departs from Exmouth at:

10:40am, 11:40am, 12:40pm, 1:40pm, 2:40pm, 3:40pm, 4:40pm (and 5:40pm until 15 September)
