Registration has opened for Hospiscare's annual 'Men's Walk' fundraising event.

It will take place on Saturday 9 March and feature a seven-mile walk around the River Exe starting and finishing at Double Locks in Exeter.

Participants will be rewarded with a pint of beer from Exeter Brewery, a Chunk of Devon pasty and a chance to watch the Six Nations match between England and Ireland.

People can also take part from afar with 'Men's Walk: Your Way', in which walkers choose their own location, route and distance.

Senior Events Fundraiser at Hospiscare Martin Stokke said: "Men's Walk 2023 saw approximately 1,400 participants from Devon and beyond raise over £120,000 for our local charity.

"With Hospiscare's operational costs surging by 13 per cent in just one year, replicating this success is crucial, as these increased costs pose a serious challenge to our vital services.

"Absolutely everyone is welcome, so please sign up and help Hospiscare stand by people living with terminal illnesses and their families when it's needed most."

Visit www.hospiscare.co.uk/menswalk to sign up. If you register before midnight on Wednesday 1 January, you could win a pair of tickets to watch the Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park.
