Five people have been seriously injured in a road accident on the A380 near Newton Abbot yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which involved just one vehicle - a maroon Peugeot 207.
Officers haven't given details of what happened, but there was an incident involving that car on the southbound carriageway at Mamhead Cross at about 10.30am.
Five occupants of the car were taken to Torbay, Derriford and the Royal Devon & Exeter hospitals for treatment.
The road was partially closed while forensic work was undertaken, and the vehicle recovered.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or was in the area at the time and saw the vehicle prior to the incident, as well as motorists with relevant dashcam footage.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at [email protected] and quote log 997, 11/5/21.
