Planning permission is currently being sought to build a new house on land to the rear of 25 Badlake Hill in Dawlish.

The former property at 25 Badlake Hill has already been redeveloped into three detached properties. The new house would be constructed behind plot three, with access from an existing driveway to the north.

The proposed building would be "long and narrow", with split levels to follow the steep topography of the land.

The lower ground floor area would have a bedroom, study, WC and entrance hallway. The upper ground floor would include a kitchen, breakfast and living area in a large open-plan room with bi-fold door access to a rear patio and garden area.

The first floor would again be split into two, with one bedroom on the lower level and two bedrooms on the upper level.

The property would have two parking spaces to the north and two spaces to the south.

The proposed dwelling would have a "modern, contemporary look" with a "shallow mono pitched aluminium standing seam roof". Its windows and doors would be "grey anthracite" UPVC.
